3rd Ave between 8th street and 1st Street is full of new expressions of urban art. Stickers are becoming more common and some good stencils can be found around. If you are around this area also you can check The market at the Old American Can Factory, a new curated makers market of art, design products and services. Happening 4th Sunday of each month from 11am-6pm

The July 12th Market at The Old American Can Factory is really shaping up but note that it’s the 2nd sunday. There will be one on the 28th as well but so far the list of Makers for the show of the 12th is looking pretty irresistible. Here’s who’ll be there for sure: Lynn Goodman (porcelain), Louise Fischer Cozzi (clay jewelry), Parable Ink (tee shirts), Nicola Ginzel (fine art), Nancy Nicolson (stained glass art), Rebecca Satterlee (bug monster photos), Jaime of Devils May Care (tee’s and art belt buckles), Shaya NYC (hammered metal jewelry), Lois Arronow (ceramics), MayrAnne of Wabisabi Brooklyn (decoupage jewelry), Anna of Anna Built (recycled tin can jewelry and art), Christine Vasan (silver and gold jewelry) and many others on the roster. I hope you guys can make it out on what I believe will be the best market yet!
